To all my friends with back pain, I’m feeling your pain today. That’s the side effect from the new med. The old med side effect was coughing and I was coughing so hard, I actually pulled a muscle, so that wasn’t going to work. Now though, the center of my back hurts so bad that I can’t stand up for more than a few minutes. Sitting down it’s fine, but standing is excruciating. So, that’s obviously not going to work unless it goes away. This is exactly why I hate taking medication. I am the side effect queen. UGH!

On a lighter note, here’s what my daughter said to me upon waking yesterday morning: “Mom! When I was sleeping, 4 jumped out of my head and ran out Melody’s doggy door!”

The three of us had a lovely lunch at Macaroni Grill yesterday (request of the birthday girl) and she loved all the messages she got from real life and internet friends!

You know, I have heard of people actually ending up with a severe back sprain from coughing that hard that long. Ice your back please for 15 minutes at a time, every 2 hours for 24 hours and then use moist heat if you can. If it still hurts in 3 days, you really (and I am not kidding here) need to go see your doctor. Please. I do not want to see you have a back problem.

As for what Little Girl said, that is adorable! I can remember A around that age, tossing back the blanket on the morning of her birthday and saying, “But I didn’t get any bigger!”
