Missed
It was a very long weekend. Very. very. long. Because Mike was out of town. all. weekend. long. And LG didn’t stop talking. all. weekend. long.
We did have fun. We baked. And we ordered pizza. But there was a really nasty thunderstorm on Saturday morning. I mean so nasty that I saw black smoke in the neighborhood from where lightning struck. The lightning was that close. And it was scary. The dog and kid were pretty clingy. Have I mentioned lately how much I hate thunderstorms? Hate. them.
Then Saturday night I heard what sounded like thunder, but not. I looked at the radar and there was nothing. So what could it be? I finally got brave enough to look out the front window even though I was afraid I was going to see a gun battle in my front yard. (That’s kind of what it sounded like.) But it was fireworks at the water park a few miles north of us. Just what I needed after a scary thunderstorm in the morning.
Sunday I felt yucky. And Mike was still gone because they played Sunday night as well as Friday and Saturday nights. So, it was a very. long. weekend. I told Mike he’s not allowed to be gone three days anymore. He agreed it was too long. I think he missed us. ;)
LG told him, “I very missed you, Daddy.” I very missed him, too.
