365 Days of Grace #184
We had a surprise visitor today. Well, let me back up a little. The last few weeks, even months, have been a tough. I know that a lot of people out there are suffering in this economy, so I don’t want to whine and cry and say oh poor us, but I’m just putting it out there. Mike has managed to keep enough money coming in to keep the bills paid and we’re not in imminent danger of losing our home or anything like that, but it’s been a stressful time. And when this happens, I pray. And God has always been good and answered my prayers. Not always the answer I wanted, but usually an answer that keeps us afloat. Awhile back, Mike had met a guy and they were going to work together doing the kind of work that Mike is best at, but for several reasons it didn’t come to pass and the guy moved out of state. Do you see where I’m going with this at all? Because we sure didn’t see it coming. Yep, the surprise visitor was THAT guy. And he’s back in town and gearing up to get into that business and wants Mike to come work with him. God answers my prayers. Not always the way I want Him to. Not always when I want Him to, either. And sometimes He freaks me out a little when the answer comes out of the blue. But if that’s not grace, I don’t know what is.
