Voting and Prayer

I’ve never prayed as much for an election as I have for this one. Most of you probably know my political leanings, but I’m not going there today.

We have a right and privilege to vote for our leaders. And like those leaders or not, when the people speak and elect a president, that’s democracy. So, regardless of your political leanings, get out and vote. Many brave young men and women gave their lives for your right to vote. Don’t throw it away. Every vote counts. Every vote matters. Many people all over the world would die to have that right.

The other right and privilege we have as Americans is the freedom of religion. So regardless of your religion, say a prayer today that no matter who wins this election, our country will remain strong and united. Or maybe get back to being so after the divisiveness of the past few years.

I’d ask, if you choose to comment, to please leave politics aside. No matter who you’re voting for, remember that everyone has the right to disagree. And to do so without being bullied, harassed or spoken down to.

Vote and pray. Pray and vote. Vote. Pray. One or the other or both. Either way, let your voice be heard.
