Thirteen Things Little Girl Can Do at Almost 18 Months Old

I already had this written when I decided that the Thursday Thirteen is no longer something I can participate in. There are many reasons, not the least of which is that it just takes up too much of my time on Thursdays. It’s grown way too big and although I’ve met some really neat people through it, I just don’t want to have my Thursdays eaten up by it anymore. There are other reasons, but I will not mention them here, as tempting as it may be. I hope y’all enjoy playing and I hope those of you who come visit my blog on Thursdays will still come and visit me now and then. I plan to continue to visit the blogs I comment on regularly for the Thursday Thirteen.

Little Girl will be 18 months old tomorrow, so this Thursday Thirteen is dedicated to her and her many developmental accomplishments.

1. “Read” board books on her own
2. Scribble with a crayon or pencil
3. Brush her teeth (with a little help)
4. Use a spoon to feed herself a few bites
5. Point to picture of a dog when asked
6. Identify pictures of things (like dog, clock, ball, bear, milk, etc.)
7. Walk up stairs
8. Put things in the trash can
9. Point to her nose, eyes, ears, mouth, teeth, hair, feet, tummy and esophagus
10. Stack her blocks
11. Throw the ball and tell Melody to “detch!” (fetch)
12. Follow directions like “close the door”
13. Make us love her more every day
