is it Friday?
The one downside to long vacations is that you totally forget what day it is. Maybe that's not a big downside, but I just get so lost sometimes. Like, I got a check in the mail. Is the bank open tomorrow or is it closed? When is my hair appointment again? Do I have a radio show tonight? And so on. Yes, I know, some of you will complain that I should be thankful to have such a problem. And I am. It's just disconcerting sometimes to not know what day it is. I do know that there are only about 12 days left until my trip. Excited I am! I will see neat places and great friends. That is the way to spend vacation. Mike will go next year and we'll have fun in Scotland. I've always wanted to go to the Highlands, and had he not expressed a desire to go also, I would be going THIS trip. Oh well, it will be fun to share with him for a change. I can't remember the last LONG vacation I went on with him. Seems all my vacations of late have been without him. He's a busy workaholic kinda guy, though, and thank goodness he is understanding about my itch to travel. That is a nice quality to have in a spouse I think!
