The simple things in life
Well, I had a really fun night last night. I was asked by the owner of the internet radio station that I do pre-recorded shows for (cuz Macs can't do live shows :P) to do some voiceovers for one of their most important sponsors. WOW!!!!!!!!! I felt very honored as I'm not a full-fledged DJ and only a few people were asked. Soooo cool. Anyway, I stayed up til midnight working on them (like an idiot…ha!), because I didn't read the email until 11…hahaha. Anyway, I think it was absolutely the most fun I've ever had. I really enjoyed it, and I think that perhaps I've finally found my niche in life. My friend, who IS a full-fledged DJ and an actor as well, listened to them and told me they sounded very professional. Woohoo! One of the other DJs, who is a DJ in “real” life, too, has encouraged me to get into voiceover work and gave me the info on getting my audition cd ready, which I will be doing as soon as we are settled into the house. This is really exciting for me, so think good thoughts okay? The next career move may be just around the corner, and maybe I will actually find something that really really makes me happy. :-)
In other news, moving is stressful and Mike and I decided that I need to take Friday off. So this will be a four-day week after a three day week last week. Things are definitely looking up!
Going to the cardiologist today, so I will have some more news this afternoon.
Life is good? You bet it is, and it better stay that way for a while. ;-)
